The Navee ST3 Pro impressed us in our test with its elegant design, excellent suspension, and powerful motor. For its price, there are few better e-scooters.
When you ride your e-scooter over a curb, you often feel every bone in your body. This is where the Navee ST3 Pro comes in. With its full range of features, it promises to gently smooth out the bumpy rides of everyday life.
It combines full suspension on both wheels with a powerful motor, self-repairing gel tires, and TÜV-certified workmanship. Our endurance test reveals whether it really has what it takes to compete with premium models like the Segway Ninebot Max G3 D.
Structure, appearance & workmanship
Setting up the Navee ST3 Pro is quick: Just secure the handlebars with four screws, and you're done. One stumbling block: The e-scooter requires registration via the app before your first ride.
Visually, the ST3 Pro is a real eye-catcher. The matte gray finish creates a sophisticated look, while the matte gold elements on the suspension, logo, and handlebar lend it a touch of luxury. No expense was spared on the design – this e-scooter looks as if it could park in front of a boutique in Monaco.
The robust construction stands up to even the most critical scrutiny. With IPX5 certification, the ST3 Pro can withstand rain showers. TÜV Rheinland certification provides additional assurance that nothing will collapse if you ride over a root.
There's a practical hook for shopping bags on the handlebar—finally, no more plastic bags on your wrist. The bell, however, seems a bit tacky.
At a good 25 kg, the Navee ST3 Pro is no lightweight. Nobody wants to have to carry it up stairs regularly. However, it can support a rider weight of up to 120 kg.
Folding mechanism
When unfolded, the e-scooter measures an impressive 120 × 60 × 130 cm. When folded, it shrinks to a height of 60 cm – compact enough for the trunk, but no space miracle.
The quick-release lever for folding sits securely, but can still be operated with one hand. The locking mechanism, which hooks the handlebar to the rear part of the footboard, requires a bit of finesse. While it's a bit awkward to engage the hook, once it's in place, it holds rock solid. You can carry the folded e-scooter – provided you've trained beforehand.
Handlebar & Display
The handlebars on the Navee ST3 Pro are ergonomically designed and slightly tilted. The height of the handlebars is perfect for the test rider, who is 186 cm tall. Even shorter or taller riders should be able to handle them without straining.
The LED display is a gem: sleekly integrated into the handlebars, it shows the riding mode, speed, battery level, and Bluetooth status. It remains legible even in bright sunlight. Operation is minimalist: Aside from the indicators, there's just a single button for all functions.
Bright indicators are mounted on the handlebar ends. They are activated via two buttons on the left side and emit an audible signal that can be switched off via an app. One small drawback: they are completely missing from the rear.
The thumb grip for acceleration deserves special praise: it is perfectly placed and smooth enough not to cause sore thumbs even after hours of driving.
Light
The front light sits directly under the handlebars—higher than many competing models, improving visibility in traffic. The LED headlight is pleasantly bright and height-adjustable. A twilight sensor can be activated via app, which automatically turns the lights on in the dark. The rear light also illuminates when braking.
App
The Navee app for iOS and Android is not just a nice extra, but unfortunately essential for activating the e-scooter.
Once you've overcome this hurdle, the app offers several useful features: locking and unlocking the e-scooter, detailed ride statistics, and adjusting the regenerative braking level. Updates are also installed via the app.
Turbo mode ensures faster acceleration. The safety features are extensive: The e-scooter can be unlocked via Bluetooth, or a code can be set, which is entered directly on the scooter using the indicators and brake.
Overall, the app has a stylish design, is self-explanatory, and functional – if you can live with the registration requirement.
Drive
The ride on the Navee ST3 Pro is simply fantastic. The front and rear suspension is optimally tuned for a rider weighing 80 kg – a bit soft, but just right to smooth out bumps. Whether on asphalt, gravel, cobblestones, or dirt roads – this e-scooter transforms bumpy surfaces into a ride on air. The 10-inch gel tires are self-repairing. The e-scooter is amazingly maneuverable and can be steered precisely.
The footboard is a bit narrow at 190 mm, but thanks to the rubberized, non-slip surface and raised rear footrest, it still offers good support. Your foot will find its place here.
Engine & Performance
The 450-watt motor (DE) proves to be a small powerhouse. With a peak output of 1350 watts, it accelerates quickly and propels the rider up even steeper hills—albeit not quite as effortlessly as the Segway Ninebot Max G3 D, which goes one step further in this regard.
The standard top speed is 20 km/h, with the display showing speeds up to 22 km/h. The three driving modes (Pedestrian: 6 km/h, Standard: 15 km/h, Sport: 20 km/h) are easy to switch between and adapt to different situations.
Brakes
The braking system on the Navee ST3 Pro is well-thought-out and effective. A drum brake is used at the front, while a disc brake combined with E-ABS at the rear ensures reliable deceleration in any situation.
Regenerative braking can be set to three levels (weak, medium, and strong) – depending on your preference, you can recover more energy or prefer a more natural coasting. E-ABS reliably prevents the wheels from locking – even during emergency braking, the e-scooter remains controllable like a well-trained dog on a leash.
Battery
With a capacity of 48V 12.75Ah (596.7Wh), the Navee ST3 Pro's battery is generously dimensioned. Theoretically, it should be sufficient for 65 km at 20 km/h or even 75 km at 15 km/h—figures determined under ideal conditions.
In reality, with an 80 kg rider, full power, typical stop-and-go city driving, and a few hills, we measured a range of 30 to 40 kilometers. This is still impressive and sufficient for most daily commutes.
The battery is permanently installed, so there's no tool-free replacement if it runs out of power. The 10-hour charging time is a real test of patience—you could easily fit a full workday plus a lunch break into it. A quick-charging function would have been a good addition to the ST3 Pro.
Conclusion
The Navee ST3 Pro is a compelling e-scooter for anyone who values ride comfort and quality. Its strengths – excellent suspension, powerful motor, and high-quality workmanship – make it the ideal companion for daily city commutes and occasional excursions on uneven trails.
The gold accents give the e-scooter its elegant appearance. The self-repairing gel tires, bright indicators, and sophisticated safety features round out the package.
The few weak points include the heavy weight of 25.3 kg, the long charging time of 10 hours, and the mandatory registration via the app. The lack of rear indicators is also a minor flaw.
